Witham Valley has completed many large roads and sewerage systems for Broadgates in and around the Lincolnshire area with sites at Kirton and Bretton. Kirton site had a deep sewer connection needed of 5 metres deep. These depths can be dangerous if your men are not trained and competent.

Witham Valley worked on large infrastructure works for Ashwood Homes for many years, completing residential construction estates with 100+ houses from start to finish. Works included large drainage works, pumping stations, adoptable roads and small finishing work such as private block paved roads and driveways. Remedial house footings work near Holbeach involved mass fills with 2 large tracked excavators and 80+ m3 for each foundation with one machine digging and the other filling with concrete.

Barriers and Excavated Trenches

This was a job for a local firm, putting barriers in place for protection from gas cylinders that had to be installed around their workplace with excavated trenches for the gas pipes. The job was done professionally and efficiently around their working staff so they could continue with their work safely and without distraction.

Drainage Works, Concreting and Kerbing

Many of the poultry farms we worked on were in the south-east of the country, the brief being to make them up to Environment Agency standard. The work involved large areas of concreting and kerbing as well as drainage works. One farm was particularly bad, as the sheds had been built in a hole surrounded by dykes, making the farm very prone to flooding. This job was not easy but we managed to solve the problems with extensive drainage works.

Witham Valley worked on Redbourne Homes site in Epworth constructing the timber framed designed houses with block and beam floors as well as all external groundwork’s including slabbing areas and private driveways.

Footings Completion

Witham Valley has worked with East Anglian Piling (Boston) Ltd for over 8 years. Construction steel beams for foundations and using concrete pumps for completion of footings. The work ranges from the small extensions on people houses (with access being quite limited) to large building sites using complex structurally designed drawings and 40ft concrete pumps.

Witham Valley has constructed roads and sewers for Ablehomes in Newark, Grantham, Lincoln. Newark and Grantham were fairly straight forward but Lincoln proved to have problems which we overcame. Seems of sand ran through the site needing structural steel beams to be built on site and placed in the foundations.
